Overview

Budget is a private ledger you keep by hand. There is no bank login and no account linking. You write down what you spent — quietly, in seconds — and keep a clearer picture of where money goes.

It is part of the Life Tracker series: one account, several focused apps.

Features

  • Manual logging, on purpose. Fast entry without connecting a bank.
  • Multiple currencies, including correct handling for currencies that use whole numbers (for example Japanese yen and Korean won).
  • Subscription list and renewal reminders, so renewals are harder to miss.
  • Planned: on-device receipt and invoice helpers (for example scanning a paper invoice QR on your phone in Taiwan). Not available yet.
  • Free export of your own data.
  • Cancel anytime via App Store or Google Play, and from the in-app subscription screen once it ships.

Private by design

Personal Budget entries on the encrypted path are end-to-end encrypted on your device before sync. We designed our systems so we cannot read that content. We don’t sell the contents of your personal encrypted ledgers. The server holds wrapped recovery material only (not staff-unwrapped keys). Lose both your passphrase and your 12-word recovery phrase and that content cannot be reconstructed; resetting login is not data recovery.

Account email and limited sync metadata remain visible to our systems. Shared spaces with people you invite are not end-to-end encrypted (plaintext by design until group encryption ships). Invited members can see shared content, and it is stored on our servers. We say so in the product when sharing is used.
